Did you ever take a look at your task list and feel:
→ Overwhelmed
→ Totally defeated
→ Not knowing where to start first?
One of the things that I learned a long time ago is just this concept of:
→ Eat your biggest frogs first.
I think it came from an old Mark Twain quote. He said “If you've got to eat a live frog, eat it first thing in the morning, nothing else worse is gonna happen to you the rest of the day?”
Why this works for me and why I tell other people to use this method, is:
→ The things that are causing you the most friction
→ Those are the things that take up the most mind share in your brain
→ They are taking away valuable energy from you the longer you put them off
When you put those things first, get them out of the way, that's going to free you up to really be fully present for all the rest of the things you've got to do for your day.
Try it out.
If you've got too many priorities on your day, and there's some things on there that you really just kind of don't want to do:
Eat Your Biggest Frogs First!
It works.
