Early on running my tech business.
I remember the first time I worked with an executive coach.
One of the first questions they asked was what are you spending your time on?
Well, that was easy.
▶ I was coding.
▶ I was putting out fires.
▶ I was negotiating with vendors
▶ More coding.
▶ Product meetings
▶ Architecture meetings
▶ Cybersecurity meetings
▶ Even more coding and debugging.
▶ I read the book, the E-Myth.
I knew what I was doing was wrong.
But at that time, I just couldn't let go.
It took a while to surgically remove the keyboard from me (that's a story for another day).
But this did start me on the wondrous and sometimes perilous journey of delegation.
I had to trust the people on my team and have faith that with proper processes and guidance, they could do all the things I thought I needed to do.
In most cases, they came up with even more creative solutions.
Then I had:
▶ Relief
▶ Less stress
▶ More gratitude
▶ More time for myself and my family
▶ More time for creative pursuits.
▶ My business grew
▶ My people grew.
It was great!
So if you're in this spot, you're likely:
Feeling stuck.
🔴 You know, things should be moving faster.
🔴 You're frustrated that people do not make the same decisions. you would.
🔴 You get to the end of the day and you feel like I accomplished none of the things I wanted to.
If you relate to this DM me and let's chat.
